Main Conference: SEPTEMBER 5-6
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Addison, TX

UPDATE:

Unfortunately, we have been informed that Pass the Jam is not going to happen this year. While we are sad to lose out on seeing what games came out of it, we are happy to say that Jessica Nida will fill in that time slot with a session on her experiences with Kickstarting her games and the pros and cons of Kickstarter in general. If you're an indie developer, this is not to be missed.

Alright, so here's the deal- we've all got those half baked projects, mechanics scribbled away in notebooks, old jams and languishing games we just can't get motivated enough to finish right?

How about we switch it up a bit and see what happens?

We'll trade - so you'd get my prototype and I'll take that half formed design of yours and we'll see what we can each make from each others' material. It's not a problem that I don't code or maybe you don't do art - because it's not just about iteration but also interpretation. Maybe I make a sequel or you invert my mechanics and complete it from there. The point is we each create a game we wouldn't have been able to realize alone.

Now let's bring in a whole mess of folks, randomly shuffle everyone's ideas, reassign them, simmer for 48 hours, and see what we get. It may be great! Or terrible! Or terribly-great!

Whatever, there will lots of games!

Dates still need to be figured out, but the Jam will happen prior to GameDallas and a postmortem will be held at the conference. Keep an eye here and on www.pass-the-jam.com for updates.
